In the 1990’s, No Limits was London’s most famous Digital Photographic, Large Format Bureaux. One of our bespoke services, provided to London’s finest photographers and renowned artists was a high-resolution scanning service.
One day, one of my clients brought in a couple of old 10″ x 8″ photographs to be scanned. This image was one of them. The subject is no secret. The identity of the photographer may take a little more investigation.
I think you will agree, it is beautifully shot and very atmospheric. I wanted to share it with you for three reasons. Firstly, Marilyn Monroe photographs are some of the most coveted items on the planet. Secondly, I have never seen it in a book or as a Poster. Thirdly, Black and White photographs of Marilyn as good as this are rare.
If you have any comments on this photograph or if you know of the provenance, I would be delighted to hear from you.
My name is Steve Howard. You have been reading the digital circus.
