“On a lone winter evening, when the frost has wrought a silence” – John Keats.
Winter can be as beautiful as it can be brutal. This incredible photograph is an extraordinary composition in blue and white. Blue is a cold colour and yet this blue is both rich and relaxing. I will leave you with a verse by Christina Rossetti:
“In the bleak midwinter Frosty wind made moan, Earth stood hard as iron, Water like a stone; Snow had fallen, snow on snow, Snow on snow, In the bleak midwinter, Long ago.”
I hope you felt suitably chilly? My name is Steve Howard. You have been reading the digital circus.
