Several years ago, we produced, a series of digital Cyanotypes for a famous artist. I have been a fan of Cyanotypes from my early days, watching the experts, in our labs, process them by hand.

I have also enjoyed modern Cyanotypes as created by young Russian artist and photographer, Tatiana Parniakov.

It is incredible to think, this process, invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842, was popularized, by a young British Botanist, Anna Atkins over 150 years ago.

Anna Atkins, produced the first, photographically illustrated book and is recognized as the first female photographer.

If you like Cyanotypes, look for the work of Christian Marclay, who has produced a series of works using the medium.

My name is Steve Howard. You have been reading the digital circus.
