The Merseyside Legend With Her Own Publicity Bus!

Royal Iris Ferry & Bus
The Royal Iris III

In my previous article, I highlighted the sad fate of the Iconic, Merseyside Ferry, The Royal Iris III. I remember disembarking the Ferry at Wallasey and walking onto the concourse, outside the terminal and being greeted by this incredible Bus.

Built for the Wallasey Bus Corporation, The Royal Iris Bus was used to promote the Ferry tours on the River Mersey. Little is known of the fate of the Royal Iris Bus. If anyone does know, I would be delighted to hear from you.

Your support would be very welcome. My name is Steve Howard. You have been reading the Digital Circus.

  1. I remember seeing the Royal Iris bus in Hollis’s bus garage in Queensferry North Wales in the 1960s. The garage went a long time ago.
